Scholarships at PLC
PLC aims to nurture the overall development of each girl. Her progression towards becoming an independent, responsible citizen, equipped with skills for life, begins from the time she enters PLC, whatever her age.
PLC offers scholarships for entry into Years 7-11 inclusive.
- Candidates are expected to be currently studying in the year prior to the entry level for which they are applying.
- Current PLC Year 6 girls are eligible to apply.
- Students currently attending PLC Senior School are not eligible to apply.
- Scholarships are not available to full fee paying overseas students.
Each year the College offers Academic, General Excellence, Music and Boarding scholarships to enable talented students to enjoy a PLC education. Daughters of Old Collegians are encouraged to apply. PLC is also offering additional Rural Boarding Scholarships for entry in 2018.
Registration for scholarships has closed for 2017.
The examination will be held on Saturday 25 February 2017.
Please check carefully before submitting your registration to sit for a scholarship as schools may hold their examination on the same day. In this case, to be eligible for a scholarship to PLC Melbourne, the candidate must register and sit the scholarship examination at PLC.
Country and overseas candidates may elect to sit the examination at an alternative venue.
All scholarships will be awarded on the basis of the results of the testing, the most recent school report and in some cases, an interview.
A fee of $120 for each candidate covers entry for one or more of the scholarships available.
To sit the examination at a country centre, an additional $100 will be charged. ACER adds a surcharge for students who sit the examination overseas, making the fee for those students $350.
