What's on at PLC

Following on from PLC’s exciting win at the 2017 National School Chess Championships, we have further great news from the Australian Junior Chess Championships that took place last month.

The championships were held over 5 days with girls playing 8 rounds of chess (with some games lasting three hours or more) and attracted over 400 of the best juniors from around Australia.

On Friday 16 February, the College celebrated the Commissioning of its eleventh Principal, Mrs Dawn Clements, in an historic and moving ceremony in Wyselaskie Hall.

The Commissioning was solemnly carried out by Rev Robert White, Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Victoria in front of Council members, special guests, staff, students and representatives of the wider school community.

Guest were greeted by the stirring sound of the PLC Pipes and Drums and the ceremony featured readings from the Scriptures, hymns and music played by an outstanding string quartet.

On the very first day of 2018 the school officially opened the new Student Wellbeing Centre.

Located in the former Music School, the new Wellbeing Centre is home to the College's Counselling, Careers and Individual Differences Departments.
